"Pushed to the margins, we find ourselves as q***r people, as people of color, as femme-identifying people most vulnerable in weathering world conditions, ranging from climate change to plantation capitalism. Thus, envisioning what shape a sustainable future might take, finding safe “places to hide” in addition to techniques that provide space for ourselves, is urgent.

Glitch is all about traversing along edges and stepping to the limits, those we occupy and push through, on our journey to defining ourselves.

Glitch is also about claiming our right to complexity, to range, within and beyond the proverbial margins."
-Legacy Russell

Been doing some research about semiotics of glitch, glitch feminism, identity, and liminality for my creative projects. Exploring ideas using glitch as a semiotic reference and aesthetic with AR and an avatar to blur the lines between reality and the digital world. For today's let's take a look at this picture from 2018 titled My true form, from a series I did. It was my first attempt at using myths of monsters, witches, and fairy tales as a vehicle to express freedom, unbound by conventional standards of beauty and feminine roles. I sometimes get asked if the eyes were Photoshopped. No, I wore black sclera lenses. The only editing is minor adjustments for contrast and vignette to darken some areas. I had written text and poetry to accompany this photo and others from the set. Here's an excerpt:

"...Once she let go of her fears, she relished in the new strength that came in escaping the shackles that bound her, finally experiencing a new kind of freedom."

I have merch available at my RedBubble store if you'd like a print, sticker, poster or other items with this design. Search for Iniara at redbubble.com to find my store. Custom prints are available upon request with optional framing. Every sale helps support my creative endeavors.
Thanks for looking. Have a lovely weekend. ✌🏼🫀

A preview of some of the things I've been working on to add as inventory. I'll have some new photo prints and posters for sale and maybe do some larger prints at some point, but almost any photo can be printed to a larger size upon request, with framing too. Shipping is available, I can give you a quote, just let me know.
Photos are 4"x6" and the posters are 12"x18".
I've been meaning to update my catalog, I'll get on that eventually.
I'm looking for more events to set up a table for selling my art, hit me up for local opportunities in PR (that don't cost triple digits, please).

Sneak peek at some of the concept art I'm working on for IDGAF CLUB. Meet my Vtuber avatar, this is my third version. It's giving Black Rock Shooter vibes. I started exploring this concept some months ago after my first illustration where I drew myself in anime form.
