𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐋 𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐑 Ş𝐈 𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐆𝐈𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝟗𝟎𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄

Discuţiile despre violenţa anumitor protestatari distrage atenţia de la cauzele protestului şi, mai important, cerinţele. Una anume mi-a atras atenţia: cea prin care se cerea practic ca ITM (Inspectoratul Teritorial de Muncă) să nu mai dea amenzi. Cui? Păi celor care angajează şi nu încheie contract de muncă.

Cerinţa aceasta vine fix din anii 90 şi ne arată încă o dată că, din punct de vedere economic, dreapta tradiţionalistă este mai exploatatoare economic decât capitalul global corporatist care, de bine de rău, îţi asigura un contract de muncă cu normă întreagă cu toate beneficiile care decurg, plus contract colectiv de muncă şi altele.

Este dreptul oricui să protesteze paşnic şi insist că nu am o problemă cu faptul că protestatarii au ieşit în stradă să susţină acest punct. Dar nu orice idee pentru care se iese în stradă e obligatoriu bună. România nu o duce rău pentru că prea colectează taxe, ci pentru că nu reuşim odată şi noi să taxăm naibii o serie de afaceri care probabil au conexiuni politice sau finanţează politicul sau ceva de genul acesta că nu se poate colectarea aia de TVA cea mai slabă din UE să fie doar din incapacitate administrativă la nivel de ANAF. Soluţia la deficitul existent nu poate fi mai multă evaziune, mai multă muncă la negru.

Au murit oameni pentru contractul de muncă şi ziua de muncă de 8 ore şi noi protestăm împotriva ei. De bine ce le era muncitorilor în secolul XIX s-or fi expus violenţei statelor de acum peste un secol când se trimitea direct armata peste protestatari?

Noi nu avem un centru dreapta politic sănătos la cap care să înţeleagă nevoia de birocraţie şi reglementare ca fundament pentru aplicarea legii şi nici o stânga serioasă care să sprijine un dialog social şi o sindicalizare serioasă că, frate, când l-am auzit pe ăla de la Metrorex că vai sunt prea multe femei în conducere....

After going through your average deluge of online harassment, now she has been informed that formal complaints are being made against the book stores selling her book with the purpose of having her work removed from the shelves. 𝐀 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟗/𝟏𝟏...

9/11 was a horrendous terrorist attack for whom Al-Qaeda is to blame. Looking back at the event that reshuffled global politics a quarter of a century ago, I am inclined to claim that the lessons of 9/11 have not really been learnt. For if Al-Qaeda are the perpetrators of 9/11, the structural conditions for terrorism go way back to the way Western nation-states believed that carving up huge swathes of the world map for economic exploitation, national prestige and political points was a good idea. It was not and the aftermath of 9/11 with its apparently never-ending War on Terror is living proof. While I am not arguing against any military action against organizations whose purpose is killing civilians, I do believe that a military solution can only work short term and, if overused, it ends up reproducing the conditions for terrorism.

And, as a European, this frustrates me a lot because geography protects the US from the most immediate effects of the War on Terror, which is the displacement of people in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, from West Asia (aka the Middle East) or North Africa, many of whom end up in Europe. Let me be clear, I am all in favour of helping people fleeing death, hunger and destruction irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion or nationality, but no country has infinite resources to accommodate refugees and, from one point onward, it is almost impossible to treat them with the dignity and care they need, especially after the traumatic journeys the experience from their war-torn countries to safety.

The reason that frustrates me even more is that hawkish US foreign policy engenders more terrorism with which it is us, the Europeans, who have to deal. When ISIS was at its heights, most of their attacks were conducted in Western Europe, although it was the US (alongside a coalition of states excluding most of the Western European countries) that invaded Iraq and created the power vacuum that led to the creation of ISIS which then also took advantage of the Civil War in Syria to expand into Iraq’s neighbouring country.

Which brings me to the present day. Does the Israeli government truly and honestly believe that genocide will protect Israel from future terrorist threats? What will all those children in Gaza whose parents have been killed and who are now homeless do? I wonder what cause they will rally around? Or the Palestinians in the West Bank. I wonder what the result of this new wave of settler colonialism will produce. By the same token, the US is bombing Iran with the goal of keeping Americans safe, yet in doing so it is helping hardliners attain more political power and, guess what, these people are not as ready to negotiate as, say, the now dead political echelon might have been.

A quarter of a century after the terror of 9/11, I can’t help but ask myself how much terror the War on Terror has produced and will most continue to produce.

După nu foarte multă rumegare, am catadicsit să îmi achiziționez o nouă pereche de nădragi în vederea purtării lor în noul an universitar mai ales pe timpul tomnos. Textura, culoarea și croiala m-au determinat să achiziționez această pereche de nădragi la preț întreg. Mi-am imaginat purtarea lor cu pantofii mei Oxford și șosete groase albe precum ULTIMUL GAY, pantalonii find negri, reiați și normal fit. Ei îmi vor permite să port un pulover cu o textură fină fără linii pentru că prea multe linii strică. Acum tot ce trebuie să fac e să mai citesc vreo două cărți pentru cursul meu opțional pă literatura nigeriană de expresie engleză. Dacă nu apuc să finalizez aceste lecturi, las cursul așa și îl modific la anul. Doamne ajută 🤲!
