Many organizations leave leadership meetings believing everyone is aligned.
Then ex*****on tells a different story.
People understood the decision.
But they interpreted it differently.
Or supported it differently.
Or simply prioritized something else.
Alignment isn't achieved when everyone says "yes."
It's achieved when everyone executes consistently.

They are conversation problems.
When expectations are unclear...
When feedback comes too late...
When accountability feels optional...
Performance inevitably declines.
Our survey suggests that leaders are often aware of these issues.
The challenge isn't recognizing them. It's addressing them early enough.
Leadership starts with conversationsโnot reports.

It's delayed decisions.
Many leaders focus on making the perfect decision.
Fewer focus on the organizational cost of waiting.
Every unnecessary approval.
Every decision sent back for another discussion.
Every unclear ownership.
These small delays accumulate into weeks of lost ex*****on capacity.
Organizations rarely measure this cost.
Yet they experience it every day.

Most organizations don't suddenly become slow.
They slow down one conversation at a time.
๐น One decision postponed.
๐น One responsibility left unclear.
๐น One difficult feedback conversation avoided.
๐น One meeting where everyone agreesโbut nobody truly commits.
Eventually, ex*****on becomes heavier than it needs to be.
This is one of the recurring themes we are seeing through the
The question is not:
"๐ท๐ ๐ค๐ โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฆ?"
The better question is:
"๐โ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐ก๐๐๐?"

Some organizations don't struggle because they lack strategy.
They struggle because the conversations needed to support ex*****on never happen.
Conversations:
โซ๏ธ About poor performance.
โซ๏ธ About unclear accountability.
โซ๏ธ About difficult collaboration.
โซ๏ธ About priorities that constantly shift.
โซ๏ธ About leaders who deliver individually but fail to align their teams.
One of the strongest insights emerging from the ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ & ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ is that ex*****on challenges are rarely operational.
More often, they are conversational.
The organizations that move faster are not necessarily the ones with better strategies.
They're the ones that have better conversations.

I'm excited to share that the first phase of the HeartUp Leadership & Ex*****on Survey has been completed, and the results provide some valuable insights into the realities organizations are facing today.
What stood out most to me is that many of the challenges impacting performance are not related to a lack of strategy or capability. Instead, they stem from delayed decisions, shifting priorities, limited accountability, postponed difficult conversations, and leaders being overwhelmed by operational demands.
Another important finding is that while many organizations are already investing in training and coaching, they continue to struggle with sustaining change and ensuring active involvement from senior leadership.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the primary focus for the next 12 months is operational efficiency rather than aggressive growthโreflecting the need for organizations to strengthen ex*****on before accelerating expansion.
These findings reinforce my belief that leadership development and coaching are most effective when they directly support business outcomes and help organizations build stronger ex*****on capabilities.
I encourage you to read the full post from HeartUp Coaching and join the conversation.

After gathering insights from leaders and organizations across different industries, several clear themes have emerged:
๐น Organizations are losing valuable energy due to delayed decision-making, shifting priorities, and challenges in cross-functional collaboration.
๐น Managers are generally perceived as competent and capable, but also overloaded and heavily absorbed by day-to-day operational demands.
๐น Accountability remains one of the biggest challenges, with many organizations struggling with weak ownership and a strong dependency on validation.
๐น Difficult conversations are consistently postponed, creating hidden costs for teams and performance.
๐น Many organizations are already investing in training and coaching, yet they often experience a lack of continuity and insufficient involvement from senior leadership.
๐น The dominant priority for the next 12 months is operational efficiency rather than accelerated growth.
These findings highlight a critical reality: achieving business objectives is not only about strategy. It is equally about leadership behaviors, ex*****on discipline, accountability, and the quality of conversations taking place across the organization.
At ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ , we believe coaching can play a powerful role in helping leaders and teams close the gap between ambition and ex*****on.
If you would like to learn more about the survey findings or explore how coaching can support your business goals, we'd love to hear from you.

If you had to choose just one area where your organization loses the most energy, which would it be?
๐ธ Decisions that are delayed or revisited too often
๐ธ Insufficient accountability at the management level
๐ธ Difficult collaboration between departments
๐ธ Priorities that change too frequently
๐ธ Difficult conversations that are postponed
๐ธ Competent managers who are overloaded
๐ธ Clear objectives, but inconsistent ex*****on
๐ธ Lack of trust across levels or functions
The answer to this question often reveals more than a complex report.
Because where energy is lost, ex*****on momentum is usually lost as well.
Through the ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ & ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ, we explore these less visible obstacles: where decision-making slows down, where accountability becomes diluted, where collaboration turns cumbersome, and what managers need in order to have the capacity and capabilities to support performance more effectively.
If you believe this question is worth discussing within your organization, we invite you to contribute to the study.
The survey takes approximately 8โ10 minutes to complete, and participants will receive access to the aggregated findings.
Feel free to reply in the comments with the number that resonates most with you. If you would like to contribute more extensively, we invite you to take part in the survey as well.

Some organizations are not slow because they donโt know what to do.
They are slow because certain conversations donโt happen when they should.
Conversations about poor performance.
About unclear responsibilities.
About tensions between departments.
About managers who deliver results but donโt collaborate.
About decisions that are accepted in meetings but not supported in ex*****on.
About key people being protected from honest feedback for too long.
On the surface, things seem functional. There are meetings, plans, objectives, reports, follow-ups.
But underneath, energy gets consumed by caution, constant revalidation, indirect messages, and problems that keep returning in different forms.
This is where one of the most expensive organizational losses begins: not the lack of strategy, but the lack of conversations needed to support strategy.
Through the ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ & ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ, we are exploring exactly these less visible areas: where clarity gets lost, where accountability breaks down, and what makes ex*****on harder than it should be.
If you recognize this reality in your organization, we invite you to contribute to the study.
The survey takes approximately 8โ10 minutes to complete, and participants will receive access to the aggregated insights and conclusions of the study.
Sometimes, the first step toward a more mature organization is finding better words for what we already feel.

Ex*****on doesnโt always get stuck where we first look.
Itโs not always the strategy thatโs missing.
Itโs not always a lack of good people.
Itโs not always a lack of resources.
Sometimes, organizations lose energy in far less visible places:
in decisions that get revisited too many times,
in responsibilities that remain unclear,
in difficult collaboration between departments,
in postponed conversations,
in competent but overloaded managers,
in well-defined objectives that are not sufficiently supported in ex*****on.
๐๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ is launching the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ & ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ, a study dedicated to leaders, managers, and organizations that want to better understand what slows performance down from within.
This is not a questionnaire about โleadershipโ in an abstract sense.
It is an invitation to take a closer look at where clarity, accountability, and managerial energy are being lost in todayโs organizations.
Participation takes approximately 8โ10 minutes.
Those who contribute will receive access to the aggregated conclusions of the study: the main blockers identified, the areas where organizations lose energy, and the types of managerial development that seem to matter most at this moment.
For some companies, this may be a first mirror.
For others, a confirmation.
For leaders, a starting point for more mature conversations about ex*****on, ownership, and collaboration.
We invite you to participate and bring your organizationโs perspective into the study.
