On behalf of Lalyans Nouvo Sesel, we extend our congratulations to Dr. Patrick Herminie and Sébastien Pillay on their election as the Nation's new President and Vice President.

We wish them success as they take on this important responsibility, and we trust that they will make good on their promises to the people. We hope they will place the nation’s key priorities above self-interest and appoint a strong, capable team built on merit, integrity, and qualifications — rejecting favouritism and nepotism in all forms.

We also hope this new leadership will bring people together instead of driving them apart. For too long, speeches from the podium have fuelled division and mistrust among our people. Seychelles now needs leaders who speak to unite, not to divide — leaders who use their words to heal, inspire, and rebuild the nation.

The Seychellois people will be watching closely and will hold this new administration accountable for its actions and delivery. As history has shown — just as it did with Wavel Ramkalawan and his team — complacency or failure to fulfil promises will turn the tide swiftly.

We look forward to decisive action and meaningful progress on the pressing national issues that matter most to our citizens — including the resolution of the Assomption issue, strengthening our healthcare and education systems, revitalising the tourism sector, overhauling waste management, and addressing the drug crisis, teenage pregnancies, and the rising cost of living.

We look forward to a future of accountable, people-centred leadership and tangible progress for all Seychellois.

The national assembly needs a third party to bring the voice of the people to the table.

They build from the sweat of others. They no longer have relevance to speak when they have yet to appologies for all the pain caused to the people.
