Hilfe Direkt (German) / Help Direct is an inational NGO which was founded during Sierra Leone's civil war in 1994 by Gisela Bednarek of Germany and Musa Bainda of Sierra Leone. Hilfe Direkt has several projects aimed at serving those who are marginalized in Sierra Leone which include: Gila's Children and Community Hospital (Bo), Grassfield School (Freetown), a micro-credit initiative (Gerihun), a homeless shelter (Devil Hole), an oven project (Telu) and various scholarship programs (Telu, Bo, Mandu).
