The Chairman of the Movement SPLA IO Nathaniel Oyet suspended the spokesman a
and other officials within SPLA IO on grounds of misuse of movement policy and failure to act in line with the Movement’s objectives. The suspensions were issued after concerns were raised that some individuals were using their positions to consume and divert resources meant for the struggle.

Following these developments, Dr Riek Machar, Chairman of the Movement, was arrested. In accordance with the Movement’s continuity and chain-of-command principles, the acting chairman assumed the responsibilities of leadership to ensure that the movement remains stable, disciplined, and focused on its mission.

As part of strengthening the Movement, he has continued leadership actions, including the implementation of corrective measures against those suspected of improper conduct, including the individuals suspended.

The Movement calls upon all commanders, cadres, and the public to remain calm, vigilant, and committed to the collective cause. The leadership assures all stakeholders that the Movement’s resources will be safeguarded, and only those who demonstrate discipline and loyalty to the objective of reforms will be retained.

SSPDF Targeting Nuer Civilians in South Sudan =========================
The South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF), our national army, has once again turned against innocent Nuer civilians in the Jebel Iraq mining site after being attacked. SSPDF, they claimed that IO forces attacked the mining site and killed Dinka people. But instead of protecting civilians when they arrived at Jebel Galtan, the SSPDF deliberately selected Nuer individuals among the victims and executed them simply because they are Nuer. This was pure revenge killing. One of the victims was Mr. Emanuel Gatkek Wicjial, who was killed in cold blood at Jebel Galtan and may his soul rest in eternal peace. It's confirm that the national army is behaving like a tribal militia, openly targeting Nuer people. Sadly, this kind of targeted killing is still continuing in South Sudan.
My fellow Nuer people, especially those in Juba please be extremely careful and vigilant. You are not safe. Whenever IO forces clash with SSPDF, it is the innocent Nuer civilians who end up paying the price with their lives.
We must speak out against these tribal killings and demand justice for our people.

Enough is enough.The government's brutality and corruption must end. SPLA-IO stands for the people, not the powerful. Rise up and join the fight for a better tomorrow.
