Twic Mayardit Suspends Four Players

The Twic Mayardit Football Association-Juba has suspended four players over what it described as “indisciplinary conduct.”

The suspension follows a public statement to Aweil News Agency regarding the team’s proposed return, which the association said contradicted a collective withdrawal decision made after consultations with players and stakeholders.

The suspended players are Cyer Bol Cyer, Madut Nyuol Chol, Ayuel Ayuel Atem, and Malual Aguek Malual. The suspension takes effect from 4 September 2026 and remains in place until further notice.

Severe Drought Hits Apukjuwiir, Residents of Panakdit in Thiet Payam Tonj South County Raise Concern

Thiet, Warrap State — Severe drought has hit parts of Apukjuwiir, with residents in Panakdit, Thiet already feeling the impact.

in Panakdit, water sources are drying up and grazing land is turning to dust. Livestock are struggling and families are walking long distances in search of water.

Community members are calling on the government, humanitarian agencies, and partners to intervene before the situation worsens.

Without urgent support, food and water shortages are expected to increase in the coming weeks.
