On Wednesday 23rd September, CCHR had the opportunity to explore the newly launched Domestic Violence Toolkit for Trinidad and Tobago.
CCHR extends our appreciation to the Office of the Attorney General, UNDP Trinidad and Tobago, and the European Union in Trinidad and Tobago for the opportunity to engage with this important resource.
We invite everyone to explore the toolkit: https://ag.gov.tt/safetysteps-d-v-toolkit/ and join the movement to strengthen protection, raise awareness, and advance human rights for all. 💜
On Friday 18th September, the Caribbean Centre for Human Rights, in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Trinidad and Tobago, hosted a training workshop for translators and interpreters supporting attorneys in legal proceedings. The session covered legal ethics, court terminology, confidentiality, and the importance of accurate interpretation in ensuring access to justice. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in discussions and learn from shared experiences. 🤝⚖️
CCHR extends its sincere gratitude to Embajada de México en Trinidad y Tobago for its collaboration and to all our guest speakers, participants, and team members who contributed to the success of this initiative.
