CaRAPN

CaRAPN was created for the purpose of expanding the stock of information, improving access to information and facilitating regional policy dialogue to enhance the policy process for agriculture in the Caribbean. Within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), there is recognition at the highest level that agriculture is an important contributor to rural development, GDP, employment, export earnings and to the overall sustainable development of the 15 member-state representation. Strong and effective networking in the region, as a platform for policy dialogue, information exchange and capacity building was deemed as an essential building block for evidence-based policy, and was a primary consensus upon which stakeholders from the agricultural community in the Caribbean region agreed to establish CaRAPN. Proactive networking among institutions and individuals is what we promote.
