TRAGEDY IN ABYEI: Man Arrested after Killing his Wife

A young woman has died following a brutal domestic attack allegedly perpetrated by her own husband in Abyei.
The victim, identified as Ngok Chan Madut, was reportedly stabbed three times from behind.

According to a Source who spoke to Voice of Juba, the suspect, Duper Deng Awit, was apprehended by police following the incident, which occurred while other family members including the suspect’s mother and two uncles were present in the home.

The couple shared two young sons, aged Five and three. Local authorities have confirmed that the suspect is in custody and an investigation into the motive behind the attack is currently ongoing.
