Evaluation Opportunity – Climate Justice Project!

We are looking for a qualified evaluator/consultant to evaluate our Climate Justice Project.

We are particularly interested in someone with experience in climate justice and feminist evaluation principles, including participatory, inclusive, gender-responsive and community-led approaches.
The evaluation will help us understand the project’s achievements, impact, challenges and lessons learned, while ensuring that the voices and experiences of women, girls and communities are meaningfully reflected.

Indeed, building peaceful and resilient communities after conflict requires inclusive approaches that recognize the important role of women and girls. At Foundation for Integrated Rural Development - FIRD we continue to support initiatives that strengthen women’s economic opportunities, leadership, and participation in community development. Through collaboration with local communities and partners, we promote programs that help women rebuild livelihoods, access skills training, and contribute to decision-making processes.

We believe that supporting women’s empowerment is key to sustainable recovery and long-term development in post-conflict areas. FIRD remains committed to advancing equity, strengthening community resilience, and ensuring that recovery efforts create opportunities for everyone.

As the new year continues, the Foundation for Integrated Rural Development - FIRD begins with a powerful step toward empowering young people in rural Alebtong. We are proud to launch the “Breaking Barriers to Enhance GBV-Related Access to Justice and SRHR in Rural Communities” project, aimed at strengthening access to justice and promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for rural youth.

This initiative will address barriers that prevent young people from reporting Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and accessing vital support services. Breaking barriers ensures rural youth access to justice, protection, rights, and SRHR services.

The project is implemented in partnership with Plan International Uganda , the Uganda Police, and Alebtong District Local Government, working together to build safer communities where young people are informed, protected, and empowered.
