Often I let the wood grain, or the scrap I find lead the design choices. It’s fun to have a starting point that comes from something external.

I always love combining the beauty of nature with structured design. Boy, that spalting really pops against a rainbow!

Using cutoffs from my sunset designs I created these curving stretched beauties!

I organized the slices in a gradient layout so it would give the design a sense of depth and gravity. Almost like a mirror-ball made out of silly putty.

Sunsets over the lake!

Inspired by our trips to Lake Michigan these beauties showcase all natural color and swirling wood grain. These little landscapes emulate the feeling of sitting on the beach with the sand in your toes watching as another beautiful day drifts by.
