A Nation Rises
10 April, 2025

A new wind whispers through the land,
hope rekindled by steady hands.
With vision clear and voices strong,
the weary rise to sing their song.

No crown of gold, no empty praise,
but duty sworn in honest ways.
They bear the weight of voices past,
and forge a future built to last.

Their hearts embrace the people's cries,
justice burning in their eyes.
No walls divide, no greed consumes,
they lead where peace and progress bloom.

So let the dawn break bold and bright,
guiding us beyond the night.
For leaders true, both wise and just,
they earn the people's sacred trust.

Gratitude and Cheerfulness
20January2025

In dawn's embrace, the morning light,
we find our hearts so warm and bright.
Gratitude, a gentle flame,
for life's sweet gifts, its loving aim.

A breath of wind, a bird in flight,
the golden hues of fading light.
In moments small, in gestures kind,
cheerfulness, a state of mind.

With thankful hearts, we greet each day,
in simple joys, we find our way.
A smile, a laugh, a tender glance,
in cheerfulness, our spirits dance.

Through trials faced and battles won,
with gratitude, our hearts are spun.
For every challenge, every fear,
is met with hope and endless cheer.

In life's vast tapestry, we weave,
aq thread of joy, a chance to grieve.
But gratitude will light the way,
and cheerfulness will make it stay.

Embrace the warmth, the love, the grace,
in every heart, in every place.
With gratitude, our souls are free,
and cheerfulness, our legacy.

Besfriends Opposite Lives
18January2025

Once I had a friend named Ted,
Who always seemed to forge ahead.
While he soared, I stayed behind,
But hey, I didn't really mind!

Ted went on to conquer lands,
With secret handshakes and high demands.
While I got cozy in my chair,
Waving to dreams hanging in the air.

He launched startups, won awards,
While I doodled on my keyboard chords.
Ted zoomed by in his fancy car,
I honed my skills on my guitar.

They said, "You're lagging! Go, keep pace!"
But I found comfort in my own space.
For in life's race, we're all unique,
Some sprint ahead, some take a sneak peek.

So here's a thought, both deep and light,
You forge your path, I'll find my might.
And though Ted's far, we'll both agree,
Success is more than where you ought to be.

And if the world keeps moving fast,
Remember, slow and steady's blast.
For those left behind, it's not the end,
It’s the start of a journey, around the bend.

The End of Abuse of Corrupt Public Servants of the Government
15January2025

Point of View

The Philippines has long been plagued by corruption within its public sector. Despite numerous efforts to curb this issue, the country continues to rank poorly on the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), indicating a high level of perceived corruption1. This has led to a widespread belief that corrupt public servants are exploiting their positions for personal gain, undermining public trust and hindering economic development.

Development:

To address this issue, the Philippine government has implemented several measures aimed at reducing corruption and promoting transparency. These include the enactment of laws such as the Anti-Red Tape Act and the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, which streamline government transactions and reduce bureaucratic red tape2. Additionally, the government has established hotlines and other mechanisms for the public to report corrupt practices.

Despite these efforts, the fight against corruption remains an ongoing challenge. The legacy of past administrations, such as that of President Rodrigo Duterte, has shown both successes and limitations in the battle against corruption2. While some progress has been made, the deeply entrenched nature of corruption means that continued vigilance and sustained efforts are necessary to achieve lasting change.

In conclusion, while the end of abuse by corrupt public servants in the Philippines may not be imminent, the ongoing efforts and reforms provide hope for a more transparent and accountable government in the future. The collective will of the people and the commitment of the government to uphold integrity and accountability are crucial in this endeavor.
