From vision to reality. What was once an empty building is now the Legacy Wellness Center, the completed first phase of the Harlem Renaissance Project. This transformation represents more than a renovated building. It's the first visible step in a much larger vision for Harlem, and it's only the beginning.
Thank you to everyone who believed in the vision and helped make Phase 1 a reality.

A few thoughts from Harlem Renaissance Corporation Chairman Felton Lewis on what the opening of the Legacy Wellness Center means to our community.
"Dear Family,
The opening of the brand new state-of-the art facilities at the Legacy Wellness Center is more than a ribbon-cutting; this is a homecoming. It is the fulfillment of a promise planted generations ago in the heart of Albany’s historic Harlem District, where doctors, midwives, pharmacists, nurses, and healers once shaped the very soul of community life.
Their courage carried us.
Their advocacy transformed us.
Their belief in Albany’s potential still guides us.
Their desire welcomes all.
The Legacy Wellness Center stands on their shoulders. As the first major development of the Harlem Renaissance Project, the Center brings together medical, dental, behavioral health, research, wellness programs, and trusted local providers all under one roof.
It is a place designed for every age, every family, every story, and every neighborhood."
