Our most recent Creating Family Ties session was about crisis prevention. Our guest was Rosa who told us all about AGORA and the participants learnt the importance of listening to someone in need.

Nuestra sesión más reciente de Creando Lazos Familiares se enfoco en la prevención de crisis. Nuestra invitada Rosa nos habló sobre AGORA, y las participantes aprendieron sobre la importancia de escuchar a alguien que lo necesita.

On Saturday, during our Educational Enrichment, and Engagement Program, the children explored their artistic creativity through drawing and construction. They built small houses using Magna-Tiles and put together a puzzle. They infused their personalities into their finished artwork by adding color, stickers, and effort.

El Sabado en nuestro programa de educación, enriquecimiento y participación los niños exploraron su creatividad artisitica atravez del dibujo y la construcción. Construyeron casitas de magna tiles y armaron un rompecabezas. En su obra de arte incorporaron su personalidad en el trabajo que completaron añadiendole color, calcomanías, y esfuerzo.

Thank you to La Planta for providing 50 boxes of fresh, healthy food for our community members to take home. We truly value their support in helping us promote health and well-being throughout our community.
Gracias a La Planta por proveer 50 cajas de alimentos frescos y saludables para que los miembros de nuestra comunidad los lleven a casa. Valoramos mucho su apoyo en ayudarnos a promover la salud y el bienestar en toda nuestra comunidad.

Our final session of the Reading Promotion Program was marvelous. We are grateful to Raices Bilingual Learning center for an incredible summer. Today we read “The Copycat Fish” by Marcus Pfister. We played charades and twister. We received a beautiful gift basket from our students and collaborating teachers. Until next summer!

Nuestra última sesión del programa de promoción de la lectura fue maravillosa. Estamos agradecidos por Raices Bilingual Learning Center por un verano increíble. Hoy leímos “The Copycat Fish” (el pez imitador) por Marcus Pfister. Jugamos twister y charadas. Recibimos una hermosa cesta de regalo de nuestros estudiantes y maestras colaborativas. ¡Hasta el próximo verano!

After ACCESS implemented the Smart Moves cohort, the families expressed interest in continuing to get together for fun activities. So, yesterday, the ACCESS team and families met at the park, and we had a great time playing soccer. See you next Wednesday!

Despues de que ACCESS implemento el cohorte de Smart Moves las famliares expresaron su interes en seguir juntandose para hacer actividades divertidas. Entonces ayer el equipo y familias de ACCESS se reunieron en el parque y nos divertimos mucho jugando futbol soccer. Nos vemos el proximo miercoles!

ACCESS, in collaboration with La Planta, is distributing boxes of fruits and vegetables; so, this Saturday, anytime from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, come pick up your box of fresh fruits and vegetables for you and your family.

ACCESS en colaboración con La Planta esta repartiendo cajas de frutas y verdura entonces este Sabado, entre 10:00 am y 12:00 pm, vengan a recojer su caja de frutas y verduras frescas para usted y su familia.

Our 5th session of the Reading Promotion Program with the ACCESS Youth Team was amazing! We read Five Green and Speckled Frogs illustrated by Constanza Basaluzzo to the kiddos in the lounge area and then we went outside for some fun physical activity. We did line dances to The Macarena, Church Clap, Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide, and No Rompas Mi Corazon. The students had so much fun learning and performing the dances with us and were already looking forward to our next session on Thursday!

¡Nuestro 5 sesión del Programa de promoción a la lectura con el equipo juvenil de ACCESS fue maravillosa! Leímos Five Green and Speckled Frogs ilustrado por Constanza Basaluzzo a los niños en el salón y luego fuimos afuera para una actividad física y divertida. Hicimos bailes en línea como la Macarena, Church Clap, Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide y No rompas mi corazón. ¡Los estudiantes se divirtieron aprendiendo los bailes y ya esperaban a la próxima sesión del jueves!

Thursdays sessions of the Reading Promotion Project was very fun. We read “Yoruga la tortuga” (Yoruga the turtle) by Dr. Seuss. We had an egg and spoon race, jump rope, musical chairs, and a three-legged race. Can’t wait for next week.

La sesión del jueves del program de promoción de la lectura fue muy divertida. Leímos “Yoruga la tortuga” por Dr. Seuss. Tuvimos una carrera de huevos y cucharas, saltamos la cuerda, jugamos sillas musicales, y una carrera de tres pies. Estamos emocionados para la proxima semana.
