Shanthi Project
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to teaching social-emotional resiliency through mindfulness.
Founded in 2010, Shanthi Project teaches brain-based mindfulness techniques such as controlled movement, breathing, and meditation. Students learn valuable coping and life skills that cultivate self-awareness, enhance self-esteem and promote positive emotions, helping them establish healthy and productive relationships with themselves, their families, and their communities. Shanthi Project also supports and participates in scientific research on how mindfulness and yoga benefits trauma survivors, and its approach has been proven to reverse the effects that emotional and physical trauma has on the brain.

Don't forget to register for our upcoming community programming! We have a lot planned this month — including a new workshop on Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) in just a couple days.
EFT, also called "tapping," is a powerful mind-body practice that combines focused awareness with gentle tapping on acupressure points. Funds from this workshop, and all of our community programming, directly support Shanthi Project's mindfulness education for children in Lehigh Valley schools!
📍 These programs and events will all be hosted at Connexions Gallery, our shared Easton hub where we've operated since the spring. (Take a peek at the gallery this Thursday at our Shanthi After Hours joint open house!)
Visit ShanthiProject.org/events to register and find out more about all upcoming programs.
Join us this September and October for lots of new community programming! Behind the scenes, we've been busy planning an exciting lineup of workshops, programs, and events, featuring mindful movement, art, and meditation.
Most programs will be hosted at our Easton hub (shared with Connexions Gallery) — which we're opening up to the public at our next Shanthi After Hours in October! More details to come.
Until then, you can explore this list of our upcoming offerings, then head to ShanthiProject.org/events to register. And remember, all funds from our community programming directly support the life-changing mindfulness education we bring to classrooms across the Lehigh Valley!

🗣️ It's your last chance to register for Wind Down through Yoga & Mindfulness! We're closing out the series with our final FREE workshop on Monday, October 5th.
Our Wind Down workshops are designed for children aged 8+ who have been diagnosed with autism, along with a family member or guardian. Over the course of an hour, our experienced instructor will guide participants through a breathing warm-up, a structured yoga routine, and a guided meditation — all to focus on cultivating presence, finding calm, and regulating emotions.

Our tabling setup at last weekend's Live Well Be Well event! It was a joy bringing mindfulness to community members of all ages. With the help of our breathing ball and calming glitter jar, we demonstrated how practicing mindfulness can be simple and straightforward.
We're grateful to all those who stopped by our table — like the young girl who returned in the afternoon to thank us for teaching her some mindful breaths! Big thanks to Paxinosa School for having us, too.
Important reminder: our three-day Full Moon Week series begins on Monday! In the video below, our instructor Annie explains what this series entails — but here's a brief rundown of the details:
🌙 What? A collection of three mindfulness sessions that invite us to gather and grow alongside the waxing moon.
🕔 When? From 6 - 7 PM on Monday 9/21, Tuesday 9/22, and Wednesday 9/23.
📍 Where? Connexions Gallery, 213 Northampton St. Easton, PA.
🎟️ How much? Each session costs $20, but you can attend the entire series for $50.

You're invited to Shanthi After Hours on October 8th!
In partnership with Connexions Gallery, Shanthi Project is excited to host our first open house at our shared space in downtown Easton. While many know us for our work in local schools, this location—where we've operated since May 1st—serves as our hub for community-based mindfulness workshops. We look forward to welcoming neighbors, supporters, educators, and friends to explore the space and learn how we're expanding our impact across the Lehigh Valley.
At this installment of Shanthi After Hours, our free happy hour series, you can enjoy food and beverages + participate in a raffle in support of our mission. You'll also be able to explore the beautiful artwork housed at Connexions, which will be open throughout the evening. Visit ShanthiProject.org/SAH for more information.
