It's been kind of nice being home for a change.

I've actually been tackling the never-ending to-do list (don't worry... it's still winning 😆), sleeping in my own bed, and best of all... getting to spend time with my family and some of our Pacific Northwest advisors. (any excuse for lunch at my favorite place in Issaquah!)

Moments like this always remind me how grateful I am for what we've built together.

We're not one of those agencies where you're just another face in a crowded convention hall or another number on a report. We're a smaller group, just over 100 people, and that's exactly how I like it. We know each other. We cheer each other on. We celebrate the wins, help each other through the hard days, and somewhere along the way we've become way more like family than independent advisors working alone in a home office. .

After 26 years, I still don't take that for granted.

I'm incredibly thankful for this business... but even more thankful for the people who make it what it is.

Now... I've got a few more days to see if I can make a dent in this to-do list before travel starts back up next week. Although, if history is any indication, it'll probably just keep growing every time I cross something off. 😂

Big Kudos to Megan DuBois for including me in this conversation about cruising for multi-generational families.

There really is something special about getting grandparents, parents, kids, and grandkids all together on one vacation. A cruise makes it easy for everyone to enjoy time together while still having plenty of space to do their own thing.

The key? The "best" cruise line isn't the one with the biggest ship or the newest attractions... it's the one that's the best fit for your family.

After nearly 26 years in this industry, I've realized something. Sales numbers come and go. Records are made to be broken. But getting to work alongside amazing people like these every single day... that feeds my soul.

Having the privilege of recognizing their hard work, celebrating their accomplishments, and watching them achieve goals they once only dreamed about is one of the greatest honors of my career.

Time for me to fly! Headed back to Seattle and I'm going to try Alaska Airlines' new nonstop flight from Rome.

First, though... the airport decides we need one last Roman adventure. Instead of boarding at the first gate, we're all loaded onto a bus for the ride out to another set of gates to access the plane. Apparently my Italian experience isn't officially over until I've taken public transportation. 🤣

Once I step onboard, all is forgiven tho. Alaska's brand-new First Class cabin features fully lie-flat seats, and this plane is so new they haven't even installed Wi-Fi yet! I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to survive 11½ hours without being connected to the world... but on the bright side, I might actually get to binge a season of Bridgerton... Or watch Scream 7. 😂
