The “restored gospel” of Mormonism places an emphasis on the Priesthood (Melchizedek and Aaronic) being given to Mormons only…This is also a denial of Jesus Christ, as the Bible makes it plain that Jesus Christ, being alive, is the only wielder of the Melchizedek Priesthood for the rest of time. If Jesus’s earthly mission was a success (it was), Mormonism can’t be true and is an unnecessary corruption. And if Jesus Christ lives (I believe He does), no man may hold His priesthood. Every aspect of Mormonism - its god, its Jesus, its priesthood, its scripture, its prophets & apostles, its heavens, and its temples - makes a mockery of God. I think Mormons often overlook the biggest issue when it comes to these sort of posts…The OP seems to think there are only two options:

1– “There is a god that accepts everything, and I’ll be saved because I did good works.”

2- “There is no God at all and all that matters is that I was happy.”

But there is a third option:

3- “I lived a good life, but went against Biblical doctrine and followed false prophets and a false christ. I was ambivalent toward the truth of God, and trusted my own beliefs over Scripture. My works now mean nothing, and I still have judgement and eternity to deal with. My beautiful life means nothing, because I now will live in an empty eternity, forever separated from God.”
