Hello everyone! This is not the kind of thing we want to have to post, but we are unfortunately out of options.

Sweet Kara needs her eye removed, as she had an infection that treatment did not work on, and her eye has ruptured. The procedure will cost around $1,400.

We are entirely self-funded, and currently just on a teacher’s salary. This year has been particularly expensive with the amount of kittens we took in. Anything helps, even just sharing the post. If you feel led to help out little Kara, we would really appreciate it.

they are still fighting hard at about eight days old. harriet is the first to start to open her eyes, and abigail is still holding onto to her umbilical cord. stay tuned to watch these little beans grow!

Misty is hanging in there. She’s still very tired, and fighting us when feeding, but she looks much better than she did when we got her. She sees the vet for some stuffiness today, and then hopefully it’s all uphill from there!

It is most definitely kitten season. Today we took in 3 week old Misty, who was abandoned by her mom due to her poor condition.

When kittens are in poor health, sometimes mom will remove them from the nest to give the healthier kittens a better chance.

Misty is fighting her hardest, and after several flea baths (we removed over 50 fleas from her tiny body), some warm formula, and a nap, it seems she has a fighting chance!
