Ductless Mini-Split Tips for Peak Performance -
Keep your system efficient and comfortable this summer (and year-round) with these simple steps:
1. Clean the indoor filters regularly — aim for every 2–4 weeks during heavy use (or monthly at minimum). Turn the unit off, remove the washable mesh filters, rinse with lukewarm water and mild soap if needed, let them dry completely, then reinstall. Dirty filters restrict airflow, raise energy use, and reduce comfort.
2. Keep the outdoor unit clear — maintain at least 18–24 inches of clearance. Remove leaves, grass clippings, debris, and vegetation so the condenser can breathe properly.
3. Watch the condensate drain — ensure the drain line flows freely. A simple seasonal flush with diluted white vinegar can help prevent clogs and water issues.
4. If you notice your system is not working optimally, schedule professional maintenance — an annual (or twice-yearly) tune-up from our team includes coil cleaning, refrigerant checks, electrical inspections, and overall performance optimization. Thousands of air conditioners recalled due to fire, burn risks as heat wave continues

(Gray News) - Thousands of air conditioners are under recall due to the risk of fire or burn injury.

About 13,514 Amana Window-Room-Air-Conditioners (WRAC) and Through the Wall (TTW) air conditioners or heat pumps were included in the recall, which was issued on June 25.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the heating element in the affected units could remain energized during a ground fault, even when turned off.

The affected units were sold from April to Dec. 2025 for costs ranging between $850 and $1,500. Anyone with a recalled unit should call Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing and request a refund.
