This Sunday, we dance for the HARVEST — our last outdoor dance of the year — at our favorite park in the ATL metro — Brook Run Park. A micro-festival feel with intention, held by members of our very own Sol Dance community.

🫂Sol Emergence

“Sol Dance Presents” returns for our annual Day of the Dead celebration, in collaboration with Watersong Records An evening-length production unlike our usual monthly gatherings.

The veil thins on November 1st. As the year turns toward rest, we gather to remember. To dance for the ones who danced before us. To build something sacred together.

Come dressed in ancestral spirit, marigolds, candy-skull face paint, your finest, or garments that honor where you come from. Quite simply, adorn yourself in remembrance.

The night unfolds with:

🕯️ An ancestral altar at the center of the room, bring a photo or offering to honor someone you’ve lost
🥁 Biko Casini (of Rising Appalachia on live percussion and n’goni, a lifetime devoted to rhythm as service
🌍 MonÁxi Kimball weaving vocals, djembé, and live looping into sound as prayer
🎧 Scott Houston closing the night, sealing the space with a DJ set built to carry the room home
🕊️ Maya Lemberg holding ceremony as Maestra throughout the evening
🔊 Hi-fi sound by bespokehifi
🌺 Altar curation by MayaRosa & Riya Rose🌝
