The next generation of game development won’t just happen on a screen — and we want our community learning how to build for it.
BESN X Community is launching NEXT//WORLD, our new global game-development and workforce initiative bringing emerging creators together to explore AI, game development, immersive technology and Meta AI glasses.
Working with Global Game Jam and powered by Meta AI Glasses, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience developing games and interactive experiences for emerging technology.
This is about more than learning to code.
It’s about giving the next generation the opportunity to become the developers, designers and creators shaping what comes next.
NEXT//WORLD will focus on:
Game Development
Meta AI Glasses
AI & Emerging Technology
AR/VR/XR Development
Project-Based Learning
Workforce & Portfolio Development
Collaboration with creators across multiple regions of the world
Fall programming is coming — and sign-ups are OPEN NOW.

THIS IS WHAT INVESTMENT LOOKS LIKE!
July was one for the books.
This month reminded us what happens when a community comes together with one mission: creating opportunities for the next generation.
🏊 Swim & Game 2026 brought together over 120 families for a day of swimming, gaming, free food, and community resources. Thank you to The Josh Project, City of Toledo, Humana, Toledo Fire & Rescue, Toledo Police, and everyone who helped create a safe, positive space for our youth.
🤖 We were honored to represent BESN X Community at the Meta AI Glasses Community Summit after being selected as a recipient of the Meta AI Glasses Impact Grant. This partnership is helping us bring cutting-edge AI technology directly into our programs so youth can learn to create with AI—not just consume it.
💻 We’re also excited to begin building our STEM Labs in partnership with Lucas Metropolitan Housing. These spaces will provide hands-on training in AI, game development, digital media, XR, and workforce development, creating pathways to careers in technology.
🌍 And we’re just getting started.
With incredible partners like Meta, Global Game Jam, Lucas Metropolitan Housing, Nemsys, AWS, Google Developer Program, and so many others, we’re building opportunities that connect Toledo to the future.
To every volunteer, partner, donor, and family who believes in our mission—thank you. Your support is changing lives and proving that innovation belongs in every neighborhood.
The future is being built right here at BESN X Community. Join us.
