It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint in a light modern color will do for your home. Adding some new light fixtures, granite counters and painting dated cabinets does wonders and is surprisingly affordable!

These dated cabinets were dated but very good quality wood, so we painted them a very light grey. We installed granite counters and new backsplash, and painted and re-designed the island, making it longer and adding decorative shelves and legs to the sides.

Before and After....Click on each picture to see the whole effect. Unfortunately I did not take a better before so you could see it was just a bare wall all the way up to the 2 story open ceiling. We also installed hardwoods to replace the carpet.
