Dazzle Ride Golf Cart LED

Because we make wheel lights specifically for golf carts in multiple, sizes, styles, and widths, we often get asked for tips on installation.

We’ve helped folks install wheel lights on over 9,000 golf carts from all the major brands and models, to some exotic and one of kind builds.

The two most common installations are:

1. mounting to existing fixed bolt points (like brake caliper bolts) and perhaps a third fixed point if only two but not three bolts are available in the right orientation, or;
2. mounting with “worm-gear” style “hose” clamps to a central spindle or axle

In both cases, for golf cart size wheel lights (our range from 8” diameter up to 17” diameter) we recommend no less than three (3) mounting points per wheel light hoop in all cases. Our of our wheel light kits come with at least three (3) mounting clips for each wheel light hoop either already permanently affixed to each wheel hoop or a pack of at least twelve (12) moveable ones included in the kit package. In most installations, extension brackets are needed to join the clips to the points at which they will attach to something fixed on the cart (a brake caliper bolt, another fixed point, or a spindle or axle).

The attached photos show one of our new extension brackets (sold separately in kits). We purposefully included pics on a smaller (11” diameter), wider wheel light with permanently affixed clips and a larger (15” diameter, narrower wheel light hoop that doesn’t have permanently affixed clips and uses moveable clips. The purpose of the photos is show that the two pieces of the extension brackets can nest with each other and expand and contract to any size or can fit onto other standard (pre-installed clips and slide to fit any size). Also keep in mind that they can be cut if need be and drilled to accommodate most bolt sizes, or to place a locking screw anywhere out of the way you prefer it. In the photos we are using a pre-drilled locking screw hole just as an example. The idea is that they are fully customizable to any make or model of cart and any size or style of wheel light.

It’s finally here!

Ever since we launched our first multi-row wheel lights built specifically for golf carts, they’ve been a huge hit. The extra depth gives them a bold look, and while we’ve always been honest that 3 or 4 times the rows doesn’t mean 3 or 4 times the brightness, there’s no denying they’re super bright.

We’ve been moving more and more toward blacked-out details — black mounting kits, black tinted whips, blacked-out strips — because we think it just looks better and blends in cleaner. So when it came time to upgrade our multi-row wheel lights, black hoops and black mounting tabs were a no-brainer. 🖤

But we didn’t stop there. We also integrated the tabs right into the design, eliminating the screws and little bumps for a smoother, cleaner finish.

And then we did something we said we’d never do... we added some of those ludicrously bright white LEDs. We’ve long thought these whites cross the line into “don’t look directly at it” obnoxious territory, but we found a way to do it with a little more restraint and a lot more class.

This latest version features three rows of lights per side: one inward-facing strip and one outward-facing strip. The four outer rows are full RGBW, so you can run them solid white or in any color or pattern. The two center rows are white only — and they are crazy bright. Bright enough that you can run just the centers alone and they’re 100% brighter than all four outer rows set to white at full output.

Of course, if you want to go full overkill, (and we know some of you do), yes, you can run them all together. 😏
