I have so many passions and creative outlets I could not have a name that was specific to one of my 'hobbies," so I chose a generic name that covers all of them. I create T-shirts for local communities, schools, and my passions. The T-shirts are available on my website. I also create barn quilts which are only available i

n person at festivals or for pickup in Savannah/Rincon area. These are painted on exterior plywood that can be displayed to beautify garages, potting sheds, fences, or your home. They are replicas of quilt patterns painted using a grid system on pieces of plywood. I put three coats of weather-proof exterior paint, and then I paint the design and spray with a clear lacquer. They are available in four sizes: 12-inch by 12-inch, 24 by 24, 36 by 36, and 48 by 48 size pieces. I paint many different designs from flamingos, tractors, succulents, and traditional block quilt patterns. The designs are endless. Need something specific? Please email me and we can get your design on a barn quilt for that special design. My passion for expressing my creative side, with a history of over 300 years gives me great satisfaction. Knowing others will buy and display my barn quilt paintings and help to continue this tradition is very heart-warming. "The history of painting and displaying the Barn Quilt can be traced back almost 300 years to the arrival of immigrants from the central regions of Europe; Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. It is widely believed that barn painting/quilting originated in Pennsylvania with these immigrants and then spread to much of the New England and Midwestern states. Paint was very expensive in those days and painting a decorative yet distinctive quilt pattern on their barns was a wonderful way of allowing for decoration. It also became an excellent way for travelers to find particular families or crossroads, as townspeople would just tell them which pattern to look for."
