✨ Custom Order Spotlight ✨
We just finished one of our favorite commissions in a while — a custom xenomorph-inspired plush based on our customer's own fanart.

They had a specific color scheme in mind, pulled from original artwork they created, and we worked to bring it to life in plush form. The result is one-of-a-kind: our handmade xenomorph pattern reimagined!

Every custom order we take is a collaboration, and this one was such a joy from start to finish. This is what handmade means — not just made by hand, but made for a specific human who had a specific dream.

Interested in a custom? Drop a comment or send us a message — we'd love to hear your idea. 💜 🧶

⚠️ PSA: You're Crocheting Wrong
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if your crochet looks like what's in this video, you're doing it completely wrong.

I know, I know. You thought you were doing great. But this is NOT crochet. This is a common mistake I see all the time and I really need to address it.

If your "crochet" looks like this, you need to start over. I don't make the rules. 🤷🏻‍♀️

(For anyone confused: This is knitting. I am knitting. The joke is that I'm calling knitting "wrong crochet" because apparently we need to clarify that these are two different crafts and I think that's hilarious.)

To everyone who immediately knew this was knitting: you pass. Gold star. A+.
To everyone who was genuinely concerned for a second: I love you and you're doing fine. 💜

🧶 Just Your Average Fiber Arts Tips (Nothing to See Here)

Made a cute little acronym to help remember important crafting advice! How helpful of me. How wholesome. Just a small business owner sharing knowledge with the community. 😇

Every single tip in this video is genuinely useful and will improve your projects. Scout's honor.

What the tips spell when you put them together? Oh, just... things. You know. Words. Sentences. Statements that may or may not be about certain agencies that may or may not deserve a very specific two-word message.

But I'm sure that's just coincidence!

Sometimes your craft tips accidentally align into something pointed and political. Sometimes your innocent little acronym turns out to be a Molotov cocktail wrapped in acrylic yarn. These things happen. 🤷‍♀️ ✨

The tips work either way. Use them for better crafting. Use them for plausible deniability. Multitasking!

Fiber arts: The original "look harmless while being dangerous" craft. Continuing that proud tradition, one cheeky post at a time.

I guess EVERYONE knits and crochets now 🙄

Oh, you just picked up a hook for the first time last month? Your stitches are uneven? You're not sure what half the abbreviations mean? FINE. Welcome to fiber arts, I GUESS.

You think you're "not good enough yet" to call yourself a crocheter or knitter? TOO BAD. You picked up sticks and string and made fabric exist where there was no fabric before. That's literally creating something from nothing. You're doing MAGIC. Congratulations, you're a wizard now whether you like it or not.

"But I'm just a beginner—"
YEAH. AND?

Everyone starts somewhere. Your tension will improve. Your stitches will get more even. That project you've frogged twelve times is teaching you things. Every wobbly stitch is valid. Every dropped stitch is part of the process.

So I guess we're all just out here now. Learning. Creating. Making things with our hands like some kind of functional, creative human beings. The audacity. How DARE you all be out here picking up new hobbies and enjoying yourselves.

Fine. You can stay.

But ONLY because:
Gatekeeping is for cowards
Yarn is for everyone
Your beginner projects are just as valid as anyone else's
The fiber arts community is better when it's welcoming
You deserve to create things even if they're "imperfect"

Genuinely though: If you're new to knitting or crochet, you're doing amazing. Keep going. Your progress matters. I'm aggressively proud of you and I will fight anyone who makes you feel like you're not "good enough" yet. 💜 🧶

Welcome to the craft. Now get out there and make something weird.

PSA: The "correct" way to hold your crochet hook 🧶

There's been a lot of debate about this in crafting communities, so I wanted to settle it once and for all.

The truth: There is NO one right way to hold your crochet hook.
Knife grip? Great.
Pencil grip? Perfect.
That weird way your aunt taught you that makes no sense to anyone else? If it works for you, it's correct.

The only thing that matters is:
Does it feel comfortable?
Can you maintain it without hand pain?
Does it let you crochet the way you want to?

If yes to all three, you're doing it RIGHT.

HOWEVER.
There IS one exception. One specific time when there is absolutely a correct way to hold your crochet hook, and the video demonstrates exactly when. 😌

(For legal reasons, this is humor. For crafting reasons, do what works for your hands. For dealing with people who won't stop correcting your technique... you saw the video.)

Crochet gatekeeping is exhausting. Your grip is valid. Your method is valid. Anyone who tells you otherwise can mind their business.

Craft however makes you happy. 💜

Share this with a crocheter who's been told they're "doing it wrong"!

🧼 The soap hack that actually makes sense

If you've ever:
Dropped a slippery soap bar in the shower
Watched perfectly good soap turn into mush
Wished your soap would just... last longer
Wanted to be more eco-friendly without making things complicated

These handmade cotton soap saver bags are for you.
How they work:
Simple. Put your bar soap in the bag and use it like a washcloth. The bag creates lather AND gently exfoliates your skin. When you're done, hang it up to dry.

Why they're better:
✅ Soap lasts 2-3x longer (no more wasted slivers)
✅ Machine washable and dryable - just toss in with your towels
✅ Reusable for YEARS
✅ Comes in packs of 3 so you can rotate while washing
✅ Perfect for families - kids can't drop the soap!
✅ Eco-friendly without being inconvenient

Two versions available:
Classic: 100% cotton, soft and gentle, safe for face and body
Sparkle: 97% cotton with metallic threads for extra exfoliation (body use only, not for facial skin)

Each set is handmade by Gromidez, a queer-owned one-woman business. When you buy handmade, you're supporting an artist who actually cares about quality over mass production.

This is one of those rare zero-waste swaps that actually makes your life EASIER, not harder. You use less soap, create less waste, and your shower routine gets simpler.
Who's ready to stop chasing soap around the shower?

I really hope I got it right this time 🤞😅
After all the feedback on my last post, I went back to the drawing board. I studied. I researched. I'm pretty sure I nailed it now but honestly my confidence is shaken.
If this is wrong too, please be kind. I'm sensitive and I'm really trying my best here. Character development takes time!
I hope everyone can forgive me if I'm still learning. These gaming franchises are SO confusing, you know? 🙏

Thank you for your patience with me during this difficult journey 🫣
