Happy Friday, y’all! Had the pleasure of interviewing Brendon Ford of yesterday with his partner Zay. 🥰 I particularly loved the end of the episode where I got to learn about their monthly home maintenance service to keep your house running at optimal efficiency. This was something I had never really heard of before, but it makes a lot of sense, and I think a good amount of us could benefit from it.

Today’s guest is Ashton Walker with Loaves & Fishes and FOCUS Atlanta. When it comes to genuinely incredible humans, Ashton is hard to beat. He runs a soup kitchen out of Saint John the Wonderworker Orthodox Church in Grant Park, where he helps feed, clothe, bathe, and support our unhoused neighbors here in Atlanta.

It was truly a pleasure getting to sit down and talk with him. I think you’re really going to enjoy this one.

hey y'all! I'm reeeeaally excited to share some shmooze news with you that our Southern Shmooze Podcast is officially up and running! nearly 6 years ago I posted in here that I was going to start one up in a couple weeks and nearly 260 weeks later I finally did it😅🥳🙃 Just one of those lessons that you should never give up something. It'll find its way eventually.

This has been just one of the small dreams I've been wanting to do with the group for so long and couldn't have done it without our Shmooze Certified businesses helping fund this endeavor. so once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has taken part of our Membership program as it continues to allow me to do fun things for our Atlanta community.

On that note, lets give it up for Forrest Smith who is guest #1! Next week will be Lane Thurman and the following week is Michelle Parravani! Give me a little grace as I get more into the swing of things with this but I'm confident we'll find our rhythm and flow sooner than later. bit of an awkward selfie but the message is good hearted! one of our day-one members could use a bit of a financial help so I got together with another shmooze member Michelle to help create a GoFundMe for her. She’s been a huge help to this group and easily one of our MVP members so I felt like it would be nice to try and help her and her family out during this trying period. I’ve donated $100 to start things off. she’s very prideful of her work and company and didn’t feel comfortable setting this up on her own (I get that) but Michelle and I felt otherwise and wanted to help support her since she’s done so much for a lot of us here (six years with the group giving recommendations, referrals and just helping it grow and thrive). no pressure obviously but thank you for reading and I’ll drop the link in our Facebook group if you felt inclined to donate🥰
