Man listen, have some patience with your engineer. That’s the person that’s taking the time to make sure your song sounds right. This is just one small part of this song (Mr. Fantastic, an unreleased/unfinished song of mine) and i sat here playing the same thing over and over again just to dial a compressor in the way I wanted it to sit in the mix. Imagine having to do that for a whole project… 😂😂

Stock plugins are trash if you let a lot of other people tell the story. I say they’re perfectly fine. Just depends on who’s using them. The right tools in the wrong hands can be costly. Adversely…..I think you can deduce the rest from here. I have every plugin that I could ever want, and still use stock plugins with my 3rd party plugins. Why? Because THEY WORK.

I can’t believe I wasted my time going to listen to this, KNOWING, what it was going to sound like.

Subtractive EQ is your best friend when starting out on vocals. You don’t NEED the 3rd party plugins, especially if you haven’t learned to use what’s already you already have in your toolkit. Small adjustments through and through will make your tracks sound polished in the end.

It’s time to keep it real. Some artists expectations are off the charts, and the reality is…you need a reality check. Some artists are recording on a Scarlett 2i2, AKG Perception 200 and recording directly into the DAW. For clarification, there is nothing wrong with either of the aforementioned products, as I’ve used and owned them at some point in my career. However, you can’t record on $500 worth of equipment and expect to sound like you recorded in a multi million dollar recording studio. Some of you record in untreated rooms, and more, and hear me clear….THATS FINE….but it’s not when you send your files off and expect to sound like a major artist. So if you want us to turn your vocals into this, don’t call us. BUT…if you want us to craft a sound tailoring to your equipment, which will still be on par with the industry, then hit us up today!
