Dixie Art

The latest painting created for a friend who recently lost her beloved pet.

I have not been able to access this page Dixie Art for over a year. My account got hacked, and FB suspended my page. I had to make a new account--Dixie Holland Hester. For now, that account is the best way to reach me. FB has me all messed up. Not sure what I will do to remedy it.

Last painting of 2025 !!!

Wow, is my page back ???

Finally, a dayan entire day to just paint, yay !! Working on a commisioned gift , so, sorry, no photos yet. But, here is an oldie from my beach living days .

"Sliding Smiles", 16"×20" , oil on gallery wrap canvas= happy client. This one was a joy to paint !!!

It has been a while since I have posted a commissioned work on here. This piece took 5 + months of communicating thru text and phone calls to complete. I worked mostly from her verbal descriptions of a vision she had of a childhood memory. She had absolutely no photos of her horse or photos of herself at this age. She did send many other photos of herself and other photos to help discribe what she invisioned. She deserves much credit for her ability to express her vision, time spent communicating changes/ additions needed, most of all her patience with me and my irregular life events... "Patty Blue Eyes and Her Girl" 36"×48" acrylic on canvas. I think Michelle's post that follows tells it all. ---{ Finally got it in the mail! Thank you, Dixie Hester (Dixie Art) for painting my childhood memory of me and my horse, Patty Blue Eyes! It will be treasured! Your artistic abilities are nothing short of amazing! There are no words for how beautiful it is in person and how much it means to me.}

I can find a use for most anything, so I seldom throw anything away, resulting in a cramped art space. The woes of a por mans craft/art addiction.

Yay, I am back in the art studio working on commissioned paintings. I still have some openings for 2024. If you would like a painting created, contact me soon, because my list grows steadily. It takes weeks or often months to complete many of the paintings that I create, so it is important to get on my commission list early if you want that painting in 2024. You can contact me by leaving a comment or message on my art page -- Dixie Art, voicemail or text, or fb messenger. If you call, please understand that I never answer unknown phone numbers and now seldom talk on my phone , so please leave a voicemail, and I will text you back as soon as possible.
