It was a great weekend for our Cheer and Cross Country teams!
Our cheerleaders brought home 1st place for their 1st competition of the season. 🏆
🏃🏽‍♀️Our cross country runners had a great run! We had two finish in the top 5 for varsity girls and another two in the top 5 for JV boys!🏅

On Sept 11th at Lakeside, students and staff proudly wore red, white, and blue by grade level as we recognized the 25th anniversary of September 11th and celebrated America’s 250th anniversary. Through meaningful lessons and reflection, our Lions honored the lives and sacrifices connected to this significant day in history while celebrating the freedom, unity, and resilience that define our nation.

Heart of Forsyth STEM Stomp will be this Wednesday, September 16th at 5:30 - 7:30pm at Otwell Middle School.

Students-Don’t be a blank spot in the yearbook! School picture day is on September 22,2026. School portraits will be taken by BPI Photography and are a great way to preserve your child’s school memories. These pictures also serve as a school fundraiser, so please remember to participate.

Pre-Orders are available through picture day, and those packages will be delivered back to the school for your child to bring home. You CAN still order pictures after picture day all-year long, but post-picture day orders ship directly home, so there will be a residential shipping charge. BPI guarantees 100% satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied, upon return of your original package, you may receive a full refund. You may also have your student retake their picture on makeup day, and BPI will reorder that package for you.

It’s been a big week at Lakeside! Our cheerleaders kicked off our Tuesday morning carline with excitement. Then we celebrated with South Middle at our USA themed football game, and our team brought home another win! Way to go guys!! 🏈📣

This morning, our 8th graders celebrated with the Heart of Forsyth schools to cheer on Forsyth Central at their 1st Annual Homecoming Parade, also USA themed, to celebrate America’s 250th year! 🗽2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣🇺🇸
