Microlearning is content that is purposely shortened to enable the learner to fit learning within their work and personal lives. This is small learning units and short-term learning activities. For example:

1) prework--assignments sent before the learning event
2) boost learning --content follow up reminder sent to participants AFTER the main learning event
3) performance support--on the job help like job aids, check lists, repetition
4) short form learning--stand alone modules, videos, e-learning modules, an info-graphic, a LinkedIn post
