Kelly Ladd - Paranormal

So I know it has been a while - I think many investigators will experience something in their paranormal “career” that “shakes you to the core” causing you to take a step back to “take a break”. That is where I have been at. Then throw in a divorce, 2 surgeries on my Achilles, a move, a job loss, and a new job — well you get the idea.

Back in October 2024 the Peaches and I went on an investigation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There was an interesting back story some of it we discovered was false and some of it was true. I won’t reveal the location as this is not a public place. Upon arrival we could feel a lot of energy there. We experienced some really cool activity such as what sounded like a marble rolling across the 2nd story floor but no one was up there. Here is the thing, we did not set out any marbles and the house was void of furniture and other items. It was basically an empty house — We had other activity with the REM pods and saw some very strange things on the static cameras that could technically be explained (even the old man’s face within an “orb” - I say this loosely because the orb was probably dust and the face was probably pareidolia). This particular house for the most part had been gutted so there wasn’t any where a person could hide. However, it seemed like someone/something was watching us the entire time. There was also a human element to this investigation involving the caretaker(s) of the property. Let’s just say, we were sure if we needed to more “scared” of the ghosts or the humans. For me, I was definitely more scared of the humans.

The activity died down and we had brought air mattresses and sleeping bags and decided to rest. It didn’t last long. We had brought along some family to help us with the investigation. Something happened and they decided to abruptly leave — they got really scared. At that point Steph, Michelle, and I decided to pack up quickly and get out there. The air and the energy had shifted. Part of this was a negative energy we picked up that we believe is tied to the land. This is another story for another time; we all had the impression some very bad things happened to people at some point in time. As soon as we were able to get our equipment packed and loaded, we were out of there and headed back to civilization. (Did I mention there wasn’t any cell service there? — yeah — that didn’t help…..)

Typically the three of us can’t wait to review the cameras and recorders and stuff. As in any post investigation, you can’t wait to see if you have captured evidence through an EVP, video, picture, or other. To this day, none of us have been able to sit down and review our stuff. We tried — but after a couple of minutes, a very unsettled feeling would come over and we couldn’t do it. We haven’t even really talked about the investigation in detail between us, which has NEVER happened.

About a month or two after the investigation a friend and fellow investigator called us and asked us if we could help. Our friend believed an entity has attached to her and wanted to see if we could “see it”. All 3 of us saw and knew exactly where “it” came from. Our friend had investigated the same location several weeks before we had. It was the negative entity we had picked up.

Somethings you just can’t explain, even when you go looking for the “unexplainable”. It is very strange this investigation affected the 3 of us in a similar way. After almost 2 years since this investigation, I am finally ready to go through the recordings to see if I can find some evidence. If there is some, I hope it can help explain what we have struggled to understand since then…

On the personal side, all is good and I am looking forward to many things both known and unknown coming into my life.

On the paranormal side, I am ready to get back into the unknown. All I can say is I am thankful to my family and friends; my faith; and my paranormal family and friends for the support and love received!

Sorry it has been a while. 2 weeks post op surgery. I am finally feeling human again!

Thank you for all the prayers and support. The surgery ended up being more extensive than we thought but it went very well. I am at home resting and in good spirits (no pun intended for my paranormal friends).

Both Piedmont Cardiac Department and PEACHTREE Orthopedics went above and beyond to make this happen. The entire staff at both of these facilities were fantastic and I am so grateful!

I have another several challenging weeks of limited mobility but know I will be healed and back on the go at “Kelly” speed!

Stress test normal so surgery to fix my Achilles is a go for tomorrow. Thank you for all the prayers.

Prayers please that I get cardiac clearance for my surgery tomorrow. Minor heart issue, they are just exercising an ABUNDANCE of caution….
