HemoLife Receives Grant from the I-HEAL Global Youth Impact Forum to Expand Life-Saving Blood Donation Platform
HemoLife is a health-tech initiative working to simplify blood donation and improve access to blood during emergencies. The grant will support HemoLife in expanding its digital platform, strengthening its operations, and reaching more potential blood donors.
Over the next year, HemoLife plans to onboard 500 new active donors to its platform, with the potential to facilitate up to 1,500 pints of blood donations annually and help save more lives. Through its platform, HemoLife connects voluntary blood donors with individuals and healthcare facilities in need, making it easier to find and access blood, particularly during emergencies.

The iHEAL Global Youth Impact Forum demonstrated the power of bringing young people, institutions, development stakeholders, and industry leaders together with a shared commitment to sustainable development.
Beyond the gathering, the real value lay in the depth of conversations and the intentional shift from ideas to actionable opportunities.
Discussions spanned leadership, education, entrepreneurship, innovation, health, and livelihoods, reinforcing a key truth: youth development requires a strong, interconnected ecosystem of support, access, and opportunity.
The iHEAL framework highlights this through its five pillars,. Income, Health, Education, Access to Water, and Living Standards—emphasizing holistic human development.
A major highlight of the forum was the transition from dialogue to action, with grants, empowerment initiatives, and startup support enabling young innovators to take practical steps toward building their ideas.
The forum reaffirmed a critical insight: Africa is not short of ideas, but of stronger bridges between ideas and resources, talent and opportunity, and ambition and implementation.
As we move forward, the real success of such platforms will be measured not by the conversations held, but by the solutions and impact they generate.

I am deeply honoured to receive the Global Sustainability Leadership Award 2026 at the 5th Global Sustainability Summit & Awards, held at the historic House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London.
This recognition is more than a personal achievement, it reflects the collective impact of the Waterlight Save Initiative, our partners, volunteers, and everyone who believes in building a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world.
My sincere appreciation goes to Her Excellency Ambassador Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq, First Lady of Kwara State Kwara State First Lady and Chair of the Waterlight Save Initiative Advisory Board, for nominating me for this prestigious international honour. Your confidence in our vision and your steadfast leadership are deeply appreciated.
This award strengthens our commitment to advancing sustainable development through innovation, strategic partnerships, and impactful investments.
