Legendary producer Zaytoven dropped some game on DDG during Hit-A-Thon 2 in Atlanta, explaining that the old formula of purposely going into the studio trying to make a “club song” isn’t necessarily what people are searching for anymore. His advice was simple: be yourself. Instead of forcing a record for a certain environment, Zaytoven feels like DDG is at his best when he’s kickin’ flavor and leaning into the style that already comes naturally to him. 🔥💯

That conversation hits different coming from somebody like Zaytoven, a producer who helped shape the sound of Atlanta and has watched music trends come and go for years. For DDG, who has spent years proving he can move between being an artist, entertainer and full-time streamer, getting that type of perspective in real time is exactly what makes Hit-A-Thon 2 special.

That’s where streaming is taking music right now. Fans don’t only want the finished record anymore… they want to see how it came together, who was in the room, what was said, what changed and what the artist learned along the way. Hit-A-Thon 2 is putting that whole process on display, and having somebody like Zaytoven involved makes the ATL edition feel even more connected to the city’s musical history. 👨‍💻📈
