Blood cancer can feel like something that happens to someone else, until it touches someone you know. A neighbor. A friend. A coworker. Someone in your own family.
For ACU employee Betty, the fight is deeply personal. She lost her mother to non-Hodgkin lymphoma at just 19 years old, and years later her husband was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Today, she’s turning those deeply personal experiences into something meaningful, creating handmade beaded pens to help raise money in the fight against blood cancer, and raising $1454 for Blood Cancer United so far this year.
