The 7th Annual Queen City HBCU Cookout Scholarship Fundraiser was held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. Proceeds from the picnic will directly benefit the scholarship initiatives of more than 20 HBCU alumni chapters.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Vice President Jeff Shaw for University Advancement and Director Phyllis Darden-Caldwell of Alumni Affairs for visiting the Atlanta Chapter and sharing university updates through “Straight from the Hill”. We are grateful for the meaningful conversation about advancing the university’s mission and strengthening the partnership between the university and alumni chapters across the country. Their visit reaffirmed the important role alumni play in supporting and promoting the continued success of our alma mater.
