Hey, what's one thing that actually helps on a high-pain day?

09/11/2026

Tonight, we give a shoutout to the caregivers, partners, and friends who show up to appointments, remember the medication schedule, and hold space on the hard days.

Tag your person in the comments. Let them know you see them.

Nearly 1 in 5 adults live with chronic pain, and most of it is invisible. No limp, no cast, no proof required for it to be real. This month we are saying it plainly: your pain does not need to be visible to be valid.

Maybe this was a good one, or it wasn't.

Either way, you're here, and that counts for something.

As you rest, what's one thing you're letting go of this weekend?

It’s Friday, and your body already knows what that means.

One more day. One more round of pacing yourself so you actually make it to the finish line instead of collapsing before it.

You don’t have to sprint through today. Small steps still count as moving forward.

Whatever today asks of you, you’ve already made it this far. That’s not nothing.

Hang in there. The weekend is close.

Some pain doesn’t show up on the outside. That doesn’t make it any less real.

September is Pain Awareness Month.

For people living with chronic illness, pain management isn’t just about taking medication. It’s constant gauging and pacing, “Can my body handle this today?” The explaining yourself over and over again.

Nobody hands you a timesheet for all of that.

But you clock in every single day.

That is work. That is strength. That is audacity.

This month, we see the people doing the invisible work of living with pain.

If you’re one of them: you don’t have to prove that you’re hurting for your pain to matter.

Tag someone who deserves to know they’re seen. 🧡

Sometimes the hardest part of living with a chronic illness isn’t the symptoms.

It’s having to constantly explain them.

You can look fine and still be struggling.
You can be productive and still be exhausted.
You can cancel plans and still love your people.
You can need rest without being lazy.

Chronic illness is not always visible, and every person’s experience is different.

What’s one thing you wish other people understood about living with chronic illness?

Tell us in the comments. Your voice might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

Sundays hit different when you live with chronic illness.

What’s one thing you do to get ready for the week ahead? For us, it’s not just “new week, new me.” It is pacing out spoons before Monday even starts.

However you’re prepping today, we see you. 🧡

Today, we celebrate you, Deanna. ❤️

You are a founder, an advocate, a leader, a listener, a fighter, a friend... and definitely so much more beyond these labels.

And today, we hope you take a moment to celebrate the woman that you are.

The woman who keeps going.
The woman who makes space for others.
The woman who turns lived experience into lasting impact.

May this new year of your life give you the same love, grace, and encouragement you so generously pour into others.

Here’s to more joy.
More purpose.
More lives touched.
More dreams realized.
And, of course, more audacity.

Today, we celebrate you - the woman, the heart, and the force behind Chronic Audacity.

With love and gratitude,
Your Chronic Audacity family
