DOWN THE MIDDLE Split EP from Texas artists Compilations and As We Shiver

Austin, Texas-based DIY label Diverse Chorus Records announces a new split EP that should satisfy any ‘90s nostalgia cravings. The full EP drops in October 2026. Each band has released a debut single from Down the Middle; Compilations released “The Benefit” back in May and As We Shiver released “Stay Behind” earlier this month.

Compilations is a melodic pop punk band from Austin, Texas, that draws on influences from ‘90s punk, emo and indie rock for fans of Texas is the Reason, Gameface, and Jimmy Eat World. As We Shiver is a melodic post hardcore band that is suitable for fans of Quicksand, Narrow Head, and Deftones.

The history between the members of both bands extends back about 30 years to thriving punk scenes in Austin and Houston. Family is really the best way to describe this relationship, both literally, and figuratively. Both Compilations and As We Shiver have a father and son component, and AWS has two sets of brothers, father & and sons, uncle...a serious family affair. Working together on this split release was a no-brainer.

EP release shows are planned in Austin on Friday October 9 at Chess Club and Saturday, October 10, in Houston at 1810 Ojeman.
