Before a new ingredient ever makes it into an Elixir Shot, it has to earn its place.
We look at:
• Where it comes from and how it’s grown
• The science behind its potential benefits
• Safety, purity and contaminant testing
• Bioavailability and how it works with other ingredients
• Taste, aroma and the overall experience
Then we formulate, test, refine and review everything again before launch.
Because a functional ingredient isn’t enough on its own. It also has to meet our standards for quality, safety, effectiveness and taste.
That’s the process behind every shot we make.

Ginger + turmeric may actually be stronger together.
Researchers tested them alone and in different combinations, and several pairings showed greater anti-inflammatory activity than either one alone.
They also saw effects across multiple inflammatory markers.
This was a laboratory study, so we still need human research—but it’s an interesting look at how ingredients can behave differently when combined.
It’s also part of why whenever we formulate with turmeric, we pair it with ginger.
