BUILD YOUR FUTURE. BUILD A CAREER. CHANGE YOUR LIFE. 🛠️🎓

The SOW Family Foundation is proud to begin OPEN ENROLLMENT / PRE-SCREENING for FREE Skilled Trade Career Pathways for eligible participants through the SOW Community Resource Hub.

Our mission is simple: move individuals from crisis to stability by creating real pathways to skills, credentials, employment, and long-term self-sufficiency.

Participants may have access to career pathways including HVAC, automotive, welding, construction, transportation, and more.

This is about more than taking a class. It’s about creating a pathway forward:

🛠️ Train in an in-demand skilled trade
🎓 Earn industry-recognized credentials
🤝 Connect with employers
💼 Access employment opportunities upon completion
🚀 Build a sustainable career and a stronger future

Many of these career pathways do not require a four-year college degree.

Through our collaboration with Workforce Solutions Capital Area, Austin Community College, and HomeAid Austin, we are working to connect people with the training, resources, and opportunities they need to take that next step.

Ready to change your future?

A WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY. ❤️

What was scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. started even earlier because families were already arriving and ready. That alone shows how real the need is in our community.

Through the partnership of SOW Family Foundation and Central Texas Food Bank, nearly 9,000 pounds of food were distributed to almost 300 families from Austin and Del Valle.

A special thank-you to Central Texas Food Bank, Smith Elementary School, our dedicated team and volunteers, and every family and community member who showed up and helped make this distribution a success.

Serving and helping people is our passion, and we do it with love, restoring dignity, sowing hope, and spreading love throughout our community.

We take this as a win, not just for our organization, but for the entire community.

May God continue to use us to do His work, serve His people, and bring hope where it is needed most.

We are grateful, humbled, and already looking forward to the next one.

Real Solutions. Real Partnerships. Real Impact. Real Results. 💚🖤

At the SOW Family Foundation, we believe the people closest to the challenges are also closest to the solutions. That’s why we begin by listening to the communities we serve and building programs that address real needs, not assumptions.

We don’t believe in temporary fixes or short-term solutions. We believe in creating lasting pathways that move people from crisis to stability through collaboration, innovation, and action.

We are honored to partner with HomeAid Austin, an organization that shares our commitment to building stronger communities and expanding opportunities for our unhoused and underserved neighbors.

Every partnership strengthens our ability to serve. Every collaboration creates new opportunities. Every life impacted reminds us why this work matters.

Together, we’re building more than programs, we’re building a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

💙 FINANCIAL STABILITY IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST PATHWAYS OUT OF POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS.

Every Wednesday at the SOW Community Resource Hub, the SOW Family Foundation, in partnership with PNC Bank, provides FREE Financial Literacy and Banking Services for our unhoused and underserved neighbors.

Through this partnership, individuals have access to:
✅ Financial literacy education
✅ Safe and secure bank account enrollment
✅ Budgeting and savings guidance
✅ Tools and resources that promote long-term financial independence

At the SOW Family Foundation, we believe lasting change comes from creating real opportunities. Meeting immediate needs is important, but empowering individuals with the knowledge, resources, and financial tools to rebuild their lives creates sustainable change.

This is what moving people from crisis to stability looks like.

A heartfelt thank you to PNC Bank for investing in our community and helping expand access to financial education and economic opportunity. Together, we’re proving that when nonprofits, businesses, and community partners unite, real transformation happens.

REAL SOLUTIONS. MOVING PEOPLE FROM CRISIS TO STABILITY.

Homelessness and poverty are not solved by temporary relief alone. They are overcome by creating real opportunities that restore hope, dignity, and independence.

At the SOW Family Foundation, we work every day to meet people where they are, listening to their stories, understanding their challenges, and building solutions that truly change lives.

Today marks another exciting step forward.

We are proud to partner with Austin Community College and SoundCurve to bring FREE job-ready training and industry-recognized certification programs to the SOW Community Resource Hub for our unhoused and underserved community.

Programs will include:
🔹 HVAC
🔹 Automotive Technology
🔹 CDL
🔹 Manufacturing
🔹 And more!

Because when people are given the opportunity to learn a skill, earn a certification, and secure meaningful employment, they gain more than a job, they gain confidence, stability, and a pathway to a brighter future.

This is how we reduce poverty.
This is how we break the cycle of homelessness.
This is how we create lasting change.

Education. Employment. Empowerment.

A heartfelt thank you to Austin Community College and SoundCurve for joining us in this mission. This partnership is proof that when nonprofits, educational institutions, and community partners come together, extraordinary things happen.

Economic self-sufficiency begins with opportunity, and partnerships with strong anchor institutions make that opportunity possible.

Together, we are building pathways, creating opportunities, and changing lives.

Stay tuned, this is only the beginning.
