I’ve competed for years, and I’ve learned some pretty incredible things along the way that have changed my life. I’ve always advocated for others to compete AT LEAST ONCE in their life (or to do challenging things often) because I know if it can shape me into a better human it can do the same for you. 🙌🏽

And maybe that’s the biggest thing competing has taught me. Every time I survive something I thought I couldn’t, the next hard thing feels a little less impossible.
You find your people along the way. Some of the best things I’ve gained were never things I could put on a leaderboard. The friendships. The people who believed in me. Competing isn’t about feeling ready all the time. You just need to be willing to go anyway.
Competing taught me that confidence rarely comes before the hard thing. Sometimes you build it by doing the thing scared, over and over again.
Anyone can perform confidently when everything goes according to plan. The real test is what you do when it doesn’t. Who are you when things don’t go right? How you choose to show up for yourself during the chaos reveals character.
One missed lift. One bad event. One disappointing competition. None of it erases all the work that came before it. None of it de
