Shai Gabriel

This album has been a long time coming.

When I started back in 2016, it was just me, my old Dell Latitude E6400, microphone, and a dream of one day playing the Grand Ole Opry. But I doubted myself. I figured no one would listen to a Black kid from Pflugerville, Texas, singing country music. So I tried other lanes, but nothing I created ever made me truly happy.

Eventually, I decided to be honest with myself first. I reached a point in my life where I said, “I’m going to create the music that makes me happy. And if nobody listens, at least I’ll be proud of what I created.”

The amount of support I’ve received since releasing my first track in 2025 has been nothing short of breathtaking, and I wouldn’t trade my supporters for anything in this world.

This album, Bull Ride, is a testament to the ups and downs we all face. Life is a bull ride. It doesn’t matter how hard the lows hit or how wild the highs get. What matters is that you hold on. Keep your hand wrapped around that bull rope, refuse to let go, and keep riding until the buzzer sounds.

Thank you all for believing in me and riding this journey with me. I love y’all. From my heart to your ears.
