What a way to Beat the Heat!

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, spectator, and partner who joined us for the first-ever Beat the Heat Indoor 5K at Arundel Mills! Your energy made this one of the most unique and exciting races we have ever produced yet.

A huge thank-you to Arundel Mills for opening its doors and helping us create a one-of-a-kind indoor race experience. We are also incredibly grateful to our presenting partner, Sun & Ski Sports, and to the many Arundel Mills businesses and community partners that provided special offers, refreshments, prizes, giveaways, and support throughout the event.

Thank you as well to our race crew, timing team, photographers, media partners, first-aid team, volunteers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make race day possible.

Your 2026 Beat the Heat 5K champion is Peyton Dill, with a blazing speed of 16:41 and smashing our old course record. Congrats to 2nd place Lester Crockett and bronze finisher Usman Sharif.

Most importantly, this event helped us contribute more than $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Club, an accomplishment made possible by all of you.
