Today, we remember Don Iwerks and celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind.
After an extraordinary career at The Walt Disney Company, Don co-founded Iwerks Entertainment in 1985, helping shape the future of immersive attractions and themed entertainment. His passion for innovation continues to inspire our industry, and we are proud to carry forward the Iwerks name as part of SimEx-Iwerks.
As Mike Frueh, our SVP, Global Film & Media, shared with our team:
"The best way we can honor [Don’s] memory is to continue pursuing the same standards of quality, innovation, and integrity that he instilled throughout his career."
Our thoughts are with Don's family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. We invite you to read Disney's tribute and celebrate his extraordinary life and legacy here: https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/news/remembering-disney-legend-don-iwerks/
