TEPORAH

She composes, performs and produces ballads, rock, classical, New Thought, and healing ambient music. Teporah grew up in a musical family, with a blend of professional folk, classical, and jazz musicians. She studied classical piano, composition and trumpet at Peabody, then moved into Indonesian gamelan, and sacred music at the University of Marlyand and in Bali and other ethnomusicological studies at Oberlin, including Shakuhatchi, talking drum,West African kora and more. Continuning studies in jazz at Towson State, as well as songwriting, have created a unique blend of influences. Teporah writes music with compelling lyrics, from torch songs to tender lullabies and fevent anthems about social issues and her beloved hometown of Baltimore. Teporah is available for bookings for relaxing rock, jazz, blues, and soul ballads for wedding receptions, restaurants, business receptions, art galleries and wine cellars. Performing as a solo artis, duo or trio with upright bass and light percussion for a smooth, elegant combo with a feminine touch.
