IBEW Local Union 24

Today on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including 21 members of the IBEW. May we never forget their memory.

⚡ Celebrating the Workforce in Frederick, MD!⚡️

As we head into the Labor Day holiday weekend, IBEW Local 24 is proud to recognize the hardworking men and women building the Rowan Digital Infrastructure Bauxite 2 project in Frederick, Maryland! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️🧰

Today, our partners at JE Richards hosted an employee appreciation lunch for nearly 400 workers on the project. It’s always great to see a company take the time to show appreciation for the workforce that shows up every day and continues to move these incredible projects forward. 👏🍽️

August 27, 1961, marks an important date in our history, the day Baltimore Local 24 officially received its charter.

To recognize the anniversary, we are sharing the attached photo from a September 1963 issue of the Electrical Worker newsletter, published by the International Office. It offers a great look back at the early days of our local.

Happy Charter Day, Local 24! Here is to the brothers and sisters who paved the way, and to everyone keeping the trade strong today. ✊🔧
