Quilted Cherry Podium, of Norman, Oklahoma, is a one man band stand crafted by artist and woodworker, Hunter Roth. The podium houses a Leslie rotating speaker, 4 channel amp, and an Omnichord; it is topped off with a Drum Buddy. Roth hypnotizes behind his hand-crafted podium with his synced instruments and song. The performance entrances his audiences’ eyes and ears with spinning lights and sounds. It’s experimental, psychedelic, country, rock, dancehall and weirdo music which could relate to Daniel Johnson, Wesley Willis, The Doors, Quintron, and Tom Waits.
