We kayaked all 2,300 miles of the Mississippi River to raise money for children at risk and now we're making a documentary about it. #BEAWAKE
We are Max Zoghbi, Bowman Hitchens and Rob Treppendahl, and our adventure initiative is called A Wake in the Current. Under that title we successfully kayaked all 2,300 miles of the Mississippi River from Lake Itasca, MN to New Orleans, LA last summer in 61 days to advocate for children at risk. Our vision is to raise money for two ministries by committing ourselves to a life of simplicity, endurance and humility. All the money we've raised and are raising through our Documentary will be donated to the two ministries that are close to our hearts: ICM in Oxford, Mississippi and The Gardere Community Christian School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Be on the lookout for our full length documentary currently in production to be released later this year. 100% of net profit from the film goes to the ministries!
