If you and your friends aren’t trading music like Pokémon cards then we can’t be friends.
Matching someone to their new favorite song is honestly better than finding yours.
Also I might have written yiur friends new favorite song…
I hear him SO CLEARLY out in the woods.
I was so blessed to be in Alaska staring at his mountains and letting his words run through my mind: hard to come back home the same.
A reminder for me that to hear him best I need to turn my phone off.
Anyways enjoy the video.
Day in the life as a summer camp musician.
Y’all it’s WILD.
Trying to squeeze fitness, goodwill runs, prayer, rest, and phone calls all in between gets a little crazy…
But nothing hypes me up like those evenjng worship sets with the kids. By that point in the day I’ve pretty much forgotten anything else and get to focus on Jesus and my mission.
Camps are not for the faint of heart but they fuel me when I get back home to work odd jobs and grind in the studio.
Thank you Jesus for music bejng a job. It never gets old.
True story 😂
This week I’m going to be up in Anchorage, Alaska playing for a really small camp called Camp Kodiak.
I’m so grateful.
God has this habit of opening doors where I least expect them and the craziest part is that He also handles what’s on the other side.
It’s simply up to me to walk through the open door.
Pray for me this week that I can listen close and hear what He wants to say to me!
POV you’re watching World Cup in the international terminal at the airport and Argentina just pulled off a miracle…
POV you don’t mind playing the fool so they sing…
Camps are literally one of my favorite gigs: they require minimal promotion and it’s all about the kids and what Jesus wants to tell them.
Which is pretty freaking awesome.
I’ve never been great at plugging myself at gigs (and it’s something I have to get better at) but I love how it’s honestly bottom of the list at camps.
Jesus said “let the children come to me” and camps aee where I get to help them do just that.
When the saxophones are getting louder and the church bells sound like this…
Worshipping my way into this week down in Texas!
Wild how easy it is as a worship leader to forget to pray on your own when there’s no mics and smoke machines.
Easier even to forget to be still.
The stillness is what reminds me that how I perform or “how music is going” doesn’t change how He sees me.
And thank God it doesn’t.
Someone should call him and ask cuz honestly it works too…
