A Golden Art

Queen # 2 of the latest commission is done and heading home later this week. 💙👑

New Queen Commission Spotlight! ✨👑✨
This 18x24 queen was so much fun for me to paint. The person who commissioned her wanted a queen that was more on the serious, confident side, had pops of magenta, teal, and GOLD, of course ✨ and some big ruffles for extra flare and fun 🩷 I can’t wait to see this one hung in her new home 🤩

This was such a fun commission! The awesome person who ordered “Queen Iris” (inspired by Iris Apfel) decided she also wanted a Frida inspired painting to go with her. 🩷🤩🫶🏻

Sold 🔴 Unfazed
12x12 mixed media on gallery depth canvas.

Unfazed is a portrait of quiet confidence. Her crown burns, but she doesn’t flinch. She’s sturdy and unfazed, unshakable. She has faced true flames and made it through, stronger and more herself than ever - now, she’s learned that not every challenge deserves a reaction, and not every opinion deserves her attention.

This one already sold 🔴 but she’s just too much fun not to share!

Queen Iris 🩷👑💚

Queen Iris is my colorful tribute to the one and only Iris Apfel—a woman who proved that style has no age, no rules, and there’s certainly no such thing as too much.

More is more, and being yourself is always in style. ✨

Sold 🔴 Because of the Queens Before Her
11x14 mixed media - This one was created using cut up pieces of dried paint peeled from my palette.

So she came from all the queens I painted before her 🩷✨

I had a fun idea for what would have otherwise been “waste” and I love this piece so much. Too bad I’ll have to wait a while to make another after the next palette peel! 😅 But she’s truly one of a kind! 👑

Gotta go clean all the glue off my hands now ✌🏻

SOLD 🔴 The Bigger the Crown
11x14 mixed media on canvas, will come framed in a modern gold floating frame.
✨She doesn’t need permission to take up space.

The Bigger the Crown is a bold, colorful portrait celebrating confidence, individuality, and the woman who knows her worth. Her oversized golden crown is intentional—a reminder that you don’t have to shrink yourself to make others comfortable. Sometimes the bigger the crown, the bigger the dream, the bigger the presence, the better.✨

Sold 🔴 Royally Herself
11x14 mixed media on canvas. Will come framed in a modern gold frame when delivered.

Original, bright, bold art - she’s unapologetically herself, unique, and a beautiful queen. 🩷🖤

Available for local pickup or can be delivered for additional shipping fee.

SOLD 🔴 Funky Florals in Blue & White Vase 1

11x14 acrylic on canvas.

This piece is a nod to my dad’s blue and white floral pottery I grew up watching him create. One of my most consistent memories from growing up was always seeing my dad’s pottery filled with flowers my mom would bring in from the yard. This is still the case when I bring my own kids home to visit them - there are always beautiful vases filled with fresh flowers sitting in the kitchen.

This is the first in a series of funky florals in blue and white vases.

It will be framed in a modern gold frame when delivered. I keep several frames on hand and frame the painting when it’s purchased. Available for local pickup or can be shipped for additional shipping fee.
